Accessibility

Our commitment

This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Pages are tested with automated tools (Lighthouse, axe) and manually with keyboard navigation and screen-reader testing on each major release.

We treat accessibility as a clinical-ethics issue, not a compliance checkbox. Many patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain have co-occurring vision, motor, or cognitive impairments — they deserve the same access to information as any other patient.

Standards target

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA across all pages, English and French
  • Lighthouse Accessibility score > 95 on every published page
  • axe DevTools scan returns zero "Critical" or "Serious" issues before publication
  • Manual keyboard navigation verified on every primary user journey (home → conditions → appointments; home → contact)
  • Screen-reader testing with VoiceOver (Safari/macOS) or NVDA (Firefox/Windows) on home, one condition page, and the booking page each release

Known limitations

  • Cliniko booking widgets are third-party iframes whose accessibility is controlled by Cliniko. If you have difficulty booking through the widget, please call the relevant clinic directly (numbers on the Contact page) or email maxbellaiche.osteo@outlook.com
  • Images and diagrams: informative images are given text alternatives; if any are missing a useful description, please report them and we'll add one
  • Future media: if video content is added to the site, it will be captioned; audio description will be assessed at that point

If you find a barrier

Email maxbellaiche.osteo@outlook.com with:

  • The URL of the page where you encountered the barrier
  • A brief description of what happened
  • (If you're willing) your assistive-technology setup — browser, screen reader, switch device, etc.

We aim to acknowledge within 5 business days and to remediate within 30 days where the fix is within our control. Where the issue is upstream (Cliniko, Squarespace), we'll tell you that and provide an alternative path to the same outcome.

Alternative ways to access information or book

If the website is not working for you in any way, you can:

  • Call each clinic's reception directly (numbers on the Contact page)
  • Email Max at maxbellaiche.osteo@outlook.com
  • Ask a family member, carer, or friend to book on your behalf — no formal authority required for booking, only for clinical discussions
